A TASTE OF MY JOURNEY

I started riding in my teenage years and have never looked back.

Since the age of 13 I have owned and cared for my own horses, which now spans over 20 years.

During this time I have completed a Veterinary Science Degree, taken up additional training in Dentistry and Equine Rehabilitation in the USA, moved to England for a time to work as an Equine Vet and now started up my own Equine Business at home.

During all of this I continued to own horses, ride and compete. I have competed all through pony club, adult riders and various other clubs. I have been lucky enough to compete representing not only my club and my State, but have also represented Australia on multiple occasions in the USA, New Zealand and Wales.

To this day I continue ride and compete, and can't quite decide which discipline to dedicate myself to.
You will find me jumping a Showjumping course, racing a Mounted Games pony, trying to learn how to rein and also chasing cows. I love the connection the sport brings, not necessarily any particular sport.

WHY DID I BECOME A VET

I ask myself this on a regular basis.
I do it for the horses, and I do it for the clients.

I love to help where I can, and I love to improve the lives of working horses.

I want your horse to enjoy its job / be good at its job / and be sound and happy doing it.
I also want to inspire those out there that might be struggling with their horse, or struggling with their riding.

My journey has most definitely not been easy or linear. But you can't let that stop you.
